This workshop provides an introduction to understanding the insidious impacts of habitual tension & trauma patterns during exercise & rehab and the power of combining consciously directed movement with the trauma-informed use of spontaneously generated ‘neurogenic tremors’ commonly misunderstood as a sign of weakness, fatigue & lack of control.

The workshop will be conducted live via ZOOM & will be facilitated by Physiotherapist & Founder of TRE Australia Richmond Heath.

QUALIFICATION:

PLEASE NOTE this workshop does NOT teach you how to teach TRE to others or to deliberately incorporate tremors into your existing exercise practice but counts as the prerequisite workshop to apply for the Australian TRE Global Certification Training Program which certifies you to teach TRE as a stand alone technique & to incorporate the deliberate use of neurogenic tremors to support & enhance your existing rehab & exercise forms.

If you are unable to attend this Physiotherapy & Pilates specific introductory workshop you are also able to attend the 1 day TRE introductory workshop on Sunday June 27th as the prerequisite to apply for the certification training.

WHO CAN ATTEND:

This workshop is open to Physiotherapists & Pilates Instructors of all experience levels,

If this workshop is not appropriate you able to attend the 1 day introductory workshop on Sunday June 27th that is open to the general public.

If you have any major medical or mental health conditions, have a history or severe trauma or have any difficulties self-regulating your mental health or physical wellbeing please complete the pre-screening form here to ensure this workshop will be appropriate for you.

LIMITED PLACES:


The workshop is limited to a maximum 20 participants & will only proceed with a minimum of 5 registrations 24 hrs prior to the workshop.

If the workshop is cancelled due to a lack of registrations credit to attend a future workshop or a full refund will be provided.

AUD $225 pre-registered / $275 pay on the day

Re-attending rate $75 pre-registered – there is a 2/3’s discount for people who have previously attended a 1 day or longer workshop with Richmond Heath – enter reattending in the coupon section of the check out

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Wear loose comfortable clothing as for Pilates or general exercise

Have any props including mats, blankets, cushions, pillows or anything else you need to be completely comfortable lying on the floor for up to 45 minutes

Please ensure you have suitable lighting & will be able to adjust your camera so your body is clearly visible while lying down for the practical component of the workshop.

Also ensure you have clear sound & that your microphone will still pick up your voice while you are lying down some distance from your device.

  • Practical: guided TRE session

  • Lunch: approximately 12 – 1.30pm
  • Presentation: Relevance of trauma & neurogenic tremors to Physiotherapy & Pilates

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE:

Certificates of Attendance available upon request.

CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellations more than 24 hrs before the workshop receive a full refund minus a $50 admin fee

Cancellations less than 24 hrs before the workshop receive a 50% refund of the ticket price

As places are limited there are no refunds for non-attendance on the day
